Beyond blue, the corundum family includes many “fancy sapphires” in colours like pink, yellow, green, and purple.Some sapphires also show colour change, most often shifting from blue in daylight to purple under incandescent light. Blue sapphires with vivid, even saturation and strong brightness are the most sought after.
